SOURCE: 2003 Chevelle trunk latch won't close
use a screw driver and put the screw driver inside the latch and pull outward this should solve the problem. if you need any more help let me know. Please rate my response Thank you very much
put a screwdriver in the latch jaws and force it open
SOURCE: can not close rear/cargo door, after depresing
Try spraying some lubricant into the latch and handle assembly and pull it back and forth to work it in.. You may want to remove the rear trim to get better access to the internals of the latch cable....

SOURCE: Trunk Latch will not pull closed.
The small switch is the trunk by the pull down motor with the flap that depresses down is at fault. That is what you call the truck pull down switch. You can take this part and show it to a Cadillac or Ford parts department sales person and get a replacement for you car. Ford uses the same part for their Lincolns and Crown Vic's. The part is made by the very same supplier for Ford & GM. Ford will sell this part at a much lower cost as well compared to GM
