Where is the egr valve located on the 2003 lincoln ls v8 engine?

i believe that there should be an emission sticker under the hood that shows emission components and vacume hose routing.if you look at it it should show you the area the egr is located.usually located in the centre of the motor on the back side of the intake(towards the firewall side of the intake)

How dose egr valve connect to intake on 93 buick lesbre 3.8

Just find a vacume hose that has vacume to it when you accelarate with car running pull a vacume hose off from carburator check by putting your finger or a vacume gage to it to see if you got vacume if not accelarate the carb by pushing accelarator (left side of carb driver side) if you have vacume when you accelarate you can use that vacume line

Where do the three vacum line go on the egr on a 1985 corvette

You do not need to connect the three vacume hoses to the EGR just find one that has vacume to it upon accelaration with the car running pull a vacume hose off the carburator with a vacume gage or your finger check to see if you got vacume if not accelarate carb if you do connect vacume line to EGR

I have a check engine light on. engine code egr. circuit how to diagnose that the egr or the egr seliniod is the problem

Use a vacuum pump to operate the EGR, at idle. If it stalls out then the egr valve is fine. If there is a vacuum leak then you found a problem in the EGR Valve diaphragm in that it is leaking air (not hold vacuum).

If there is an electrical problem with the EGR Valve Solenoid, then it will be picked up by the computer.

Good luck on this repair.

Idles rough when first started and stalls

check the fuel pressure regulator by unpluging the vacume line to it you should hear the idle change, if it doesnt then its bad.If its ok then i would start checking the vacume lines to the egr ,and check the egr itself.

I have a 97 camry and it 's code is showing EGR problem. The egr valve is working,i think ,at least it's free and moves when i put vacume on it . I thought maybe it's the vacume modulator thats the...

If you are sure the valve is working and the passage is clear....it should stall the engine when you put vacuum to it while idling, then you may have a bad MAP sensor. There was a problem with them on this year. Sorry, I don't have the specs for the modulator with me, I'll try and dig up some info later today. The reason I said MAP sensor; the computer uses the signal from the MAP when it runs the diagnostic to check EGR operation. I'll add to this solution later today, in the meantime, does applying vacuum to the EGR stall the engine? If not, you'll need to remove it and clean out the intake manifold.
