I have a 94 cadillac deville with a service drive control indication light on.........i recently purchased this vehicle and when i did the dealer gave me a "we owe" form to fix this problem the only thing is the light is still on and when i asked the dealer about this problem he stated that it was fix and that he just couldn't get into the system to reset the light. I would like to know is there any truth in this and also is there any way i can find out if the work was completed on the vehicle. Also is this a serious problem.
The light can be reset using a diagnostic scan tool. perhaps the mechan did not have the right interface for your vehicle. the body control module is what is responsible for this system and not the ecm( engine control module)now the only way for sure to know if the mechanic actually fix the problem is to check if the parts needed were replace under the vehicle ie the the ride control servo motors on the rear axles and/or leveler valve
