If you are intending on keeping this car; go to local auto parts store and grab a Haynes repair manual it walks you through all repairs and replacements as well as adjustments or go to local library in the reference section

The adjuster should be the nut on the end of
the parking cable, attached to the caliper arm

Have to turn in the caliper piston, then ratchet up
the parking feature first, then see if the cable needs
anything done

Gearshift sticks in park 2004 gt mustang 40th annv

Sounds like the interlock is out of adjustment. There is a switch on the brake pedal lever which sends a signal to release the shifter by reading the brake light signal. Often this switch gets hit by the Drivers feet and has either moved or broken. Your shifter will act up if the Ignition switch rod has slipped out of adjustment or if the ignition switch has slipped on its mount on the steering column.

I have a 2002 ford mustang gt.. Replaced the clutch bout 3 months ago.. New flywheel throwout bearing.. The whole works. Even purchased a clutch adjuster kit with firewall adjuster.. Car rides good and...

The cutch pedal should have about an inch of free play before contacting the pressure plate. otherwise throw out bearing will run continuously . It wont last long. Adjust at firewall for 1 inch of free play at the top of pedal stroke.

Where do I adjust the e brake sensor on my 2003 Mustang GT Convertable? The e brake light blinks on and off while changing gears. Also what tool do I use to make the adjustment?

There are two places to adjust the e brake. The most important one is under the drivers side chassis and the other is on the console e brake lever at the base. You may need a very deep socket to adjust the one on the console. thanks, Dana

I have a 2003 ford mustang gt stick shift. clutch sliping

sounds like you have a worn or misadjusted clutch, but if your clutch is self adjusting meaning a operated with hydraulic pressure (Brake Fluid) then you could have leaking slave cylinder that maybe wetting the clutch disc with brake fluid causing a slippage, or just a worn clutch, in which case you will need to inspect inside bellhousing...

How are you planning on adjusting the ignition timing? With computer programing or moving the cranksensor. You should be o.k as long as you don't get spark knock. Are you checking this with a timing light or a scanner?

Rear Axel Seal

Wheel, brakes etc that are in way of pulling axle out have to come off. Drain rear end fluid, remove rear housing cover, remove bolt that holds pin in differential, remove differential pin, push in slightly on axle to remove "U" clip that holds shaft in, then slide shaft out. replace seal. Reverse procedure for re-install & fill with gear lube. If any questions, get back to us.
