You need to pressure bleed the system, or you can fill the brake system to over fill as it needs to be over the pipe for the clutch line. and keep it there and pump and bleed the line, but before pumping undo the bleed screw and put bowl uner to catch fluwid and fill the line up till it runs out clear with no bubbles. then tighten the bleed screw. then fill up and pump pedal, the re bleed. should be done then, pressure kit doe this all in one just hold clutch down and undo the bleed screw let air out etc then tighten up. and its done. used for doing the breaks as well.

Yes, get a pro-bleeder. They are around $ 75-$90 but well worth it.

check under your master cylinder,is there another clyinder below with one line in and one line out,if you do I found this is for the Abs to the rear,I had to replace this it was full of air,and did exactly what yours is now
SOURCE: Having trouble bleeding the clutch on a 89 K1500.
try pumping the fork at the clutch slave with a large screw driver. make the fluid go backwards. Do not open the bleeder. I did this with a camero and it worked. hope this helps.
SOURCE: my clutch goes to the floor, can't shift. Have
Provided the mechanical portion of our clutch is good then you still have some air somewhere in the hydraulic system and it's often very hard to get out. One trick I use is to use my hand vacuum pump with a little cover I made to cover the fill hole on top of the master cylinder. I pump up about 15" of vacuum on the system and often that will pull out the few air bubbles submerged in the fluid that prevent the system from working. Once you get most of the air out usually the rest will work out if you press and release the clutch pedal several times. Sometimes it works very quickly, sometimes I've fought them for an hour or more to get back to a normal pedal. Of course if you have an actual mechancial problem inside the bellhousing with the pressure plate or disc then nothing you do on the outside will work until that is repaired.
SOURCE: the clutch pedal dropped to the floor....was no
The clutch pedal assembly made of ABS plastic has a small lip holding clutch master cylinder. If the lip breaks, your clutch master cylinder assembly will shoot away from firewall & your clutch pedal will drop to the floor. Usually you will hear a loud bang when it breaks while depressing the clutch pedal. You can purchase the clutch master cylinder assembly with aftermarket & it looks just like the GM brand only over $100 cheaper. The Clutch pedakl assembly cost aprox $85.00 at a GM dealer. Bought mine online for $65.00 Org. GM part. Be aware removing & replacing the clutch pedal assembly is a real pain as theirs limited sight & room to work under the dash
