Air Bag light stays on

I have a Hundai Elantra and the Air Bag light stays on - can I fix this myself - should I be worried?

    No clarification request; a comment. 

    I hope you didn't buy this car used and without an independent inspection.
    This is one item that is often either stolen from the car or the car was in an accident that caused the bag to deploy and the expended bag not replaced.

    an air bag warning light indicates anything from as simple as a problem with the warning light to a problem with the air bag control module. you would need to find out what trouble code has set in order to fix

    interior light doesn't work, door light does, clicking sound made when other interior lights are flicking off and on

Certainly not good to drive with airbag off, but it may just be a burned out fuse so check your fuse panel(s) for a bad fuse, which will cause light to come on.

First have someone check the airbag system codes.The light will not stay out if there is a defect in the system.It's usually the drivers seat belt buckle or belt retractor switch.

Service air bag indicator light on dash stays on
In most cases this problem is caused by the rotating ribbon circuit contact under the steering wheel having a broken filament, the part is known as a clock spring contact, u will need to properly disarm the airbag and remove the steering wheel to access the part. WARNING: Failure to disarm the airbag system can result in an unexpected Airbag deployment and possible serious personnel injury disconnect the battery 30 minutes prior to start of work.

Well Doug in Mesa AZ, sounds like you've got a AC control module malfunction. Tell you what, if you want to troubleshoot it yourself, Go to www.hmaservice.com and register( Vehicle by VIN). Afterward, you have access to shop manuals, service bulletins, wiring diagrams, etc. about your vehicle.
If you don't want to fix it yourself, Take your vehicle to an authorized Hyundai dealership and pay the diagnostic fee... they will tell you exactly what the problem is and the cost of parts/labor to fix it... at least this way you'll know what the problem is and what's required to fix it.

Air bag light stays on ?
Of course you should be concerned, air bags save lives, when the light is on the system is turned off, you need to have a scanner connected to your car to get the code that will help a trained technician fix the problem, do not attempt this repair yourself unless you are a trained pro, if the air bag goes off with out warning it can cause very grave personnel injury, such as a broken neck, this I know first hand.
