The alternator is not connected to the door locks so is a separate issue. Your issue is likely because you left the windows open in the rain and water gets into the door lock buttons (switches) and this is the faulty area. Replace the door lock buttons themselves from a junk yard. the drivers side buttons will effect the passenger side one so only replace the drivers side, they usually just pop out easily, pry up gently from one end or the other.

For the sliding doors you need to clean the contacts, there are 6 or 8 on both sides, just wipe them clean as they are probably covered in oil/grease/grime.

It may just be a bad connection in the switch of the drivers door since it works with the wireless remote

put your ear to the door and try to open it with the remote, if you hear it trying to open, then most likely you door lock actuator is bad and needs replacement. It may have disconnected itself from the door lock lever as well, but i suggest opening up the door panel to better ***** the situation. It all points to the actuator.
