I have a 1993 honda, the car starts fine when cold but after 5-10 minutes once its warm it bogs and backfires when i get it throttle. It has no power and wants to stall. Also once its warmed up it idles between 500-1000 rpm, sometimes dropping down to 250 and stalling. Any idea on what the problem could be?

SOURCE: Stalls when engne warms up

Your ECT (Engine Coolant Temp) sensor is bad. What's happening is at cold start it richens up the fuel mixture and as it warms up the ECM thinks it's still cold and essentially the "choke" is still on. Also check your coolant level. If you don't have enough coolant in you engine/radiator, the ECT doesn't know what to do so it thinks it's cold.

SOURCE: Car not idling adn stalling when it is cold

sounds like the idle control vale is sticking when it is cold. It is located on the throttlebody right at the air inlet

SOURCE: 2002 Dodge Ram 2500 Diesel won't really accelerate unitl its warm

Man you have a lot of things to check out. You really need to start out by getting a computer scan done on your truck. Diesels are not what they use to be, and there are to many things to look at. My initial thoughts are that you have a bad injector, but if you are not mechanicaly skilled this is not a job for you. Please save your self the head ache and get the scan done by a reputable dealer or mechanic not the cheapo parts store. It could be anything from a dirty filter or line to a injector.

If you get the scan done and then its something you can do your self, go for it. I have told my friends if they want to buy a diesel, which I am not against at all. If they want me to work on them they have to buy the scanning tool for it because finding the problem takes for ever.

Once you get the scan done then let me know and I can help you more.

SOURCE: 1999 Grand Am 3.4litre idle problems. Starts rough

it sounds like you have a injector leaking down into one of your cylinders so it is flooding out a cylinder thus runs rough and long cranks.

Check for vacuum leaks. Also try cleaning the ISV.

Have you checked Google I found this hopefully it's not your timing or it may be flooded but doubtful have you tried spraying starting fluid into the intake while cranking it

When i start my jeep in the cold mornings it starts up but bogs right down and stalls then i have to accelerate for the second start up for a few minutes to warm it up a little and then it bogs and stays...

Your only problem friend, is the temperature sending unit/sensor. Upon cold start, this sensor wil tell the computer to go into cold start mode putting a bit more fuel in and raising the idle a bit to keep it running when cold without using the throttle. Replace that sensor and your good to go. Makes sense, right?
