Rough idle problem

I have been experiencing a rough idle with my 2004 corolla. I changed the air filter, cleaned my injectors and even had a diagnostics done, but the problem still exists. Can you PLEASE give me some advise.

Cleaning the mass airflow sensor (MAF) is what cleared up my problem. There is a video online for it which is really good.

IACV - Idle Air Control Valve can possibly be gritty or dirt ridden and needs to be cleaned can cause a rough idle, also the EGR Valve Exhaust Gas Release Valve could be bad or dirty, those are common problems on rough idle or stalled idle.

2004 Ram 1500 Hemi 5.7 roughidle and stall on deceleration

it sometimes stalls when decelerating. Here are a few possible causes for these issues:

1. Vacuum leak: Check for any vacuum leaks in the engine. A leaking vacuum hose or intake manifold gasket can cause a rough idle and stalling. Inspect all vacuum hoses and fittings, and consider using a smoke machine to help identify any leaks.

2. Idle Air Control (IAC) valve: The IAC valve controls the amount of air entering the engine during idle. If it becomes dirty or faulty, it can cause a rough idle. Try cleaning the IAC valve with an appropriate cleaner or consider replacing it if necessary.

3. Fuel system issues: A clogged fuel filter or a malfunctioning fuel pump can lead to insufficient fuel delivery at idle, causing rough idling and stalling. Consider inspecting and replacing the fuel filter if necessary. It may also be worth checking the fuel pressure to ensure it is within the manufacturer's specifications.

4. Mass Air Flow (MAF)

Have a 2004 Hyundai Santa Fe 3.5L v6. Added a fuel injector cleaner with a new tank of gas and now experiencing rough idling and getting error codes P0300, P0301, P0303, & P0305. What's going on?

P0300 is Random Misfire. 01, 03 and 05 narrows it down to those cylinders.

Clean throttle body and MAF, you may have carbon flaking off and fouling plugs. You could try taking it for a good thrash down the highway for an hour.

Pacific 2004 3.5 v6 is idling rough and then dying.

Fuel pump, fuel filter, MAS, plug wires, (get in a very dark area, have someone try to start and watch for shorts) Did you have the injectors professionally cleaned?? Just a can of cleaner in the gas tank isn't enough!

Changed fuel filter ,added injector cleaner and car still runs rough at idle .what else could it be

Idle problems are almost always a filthy throttle body, which is the most common thing to go wrong with our I6 engines. Clean this first, but disconnect the battery before you do it. We don't have a traditional PCV valve, so the throttle body gets dirty easier than other cars. Must be cleaned at least once a year or more depending on your driving habits.

Spark plugs other than AC Delco 41-103, or the Iridium versions of NGK, Or Denso won't idle as good also. Take Autolight, or Bosch for example, won't idle very well, or last as long.

These two things are the most common, if these don't fix it, check for vacuum leaks, new air filter, upstream 02 sensor. From there, it's gets more in depth and should look to a professional.

2001 V 10 ford excursion experienced rough idel and constant miss, have changed fuel filter, plugs, coils, fuel injector and the computer, still the same, any ideas?

As long as everything you've mentioned is in good working condition I would test your O2 sensors and your mass air flow sensor both could cause a rough erratic idle and even a miss if the O2 sensors send a bad signal to ecu which would affect fuel trim ratio

My 2004 Expedition is idles rough sometimes to the point that it dies. I have never had any problem at all with this vehicle. It has almost a 100,000 miles and all that I have done is change the oil and...

Sounds like the fuel injectors are dirty. run a bottles of STP or other fuel injector cleaner in the next two tanks of gas. Also if not done before change the fuel filter inline from the tank. Or maybe change the air filter, especially if you have been driving in an area that is very dusty. If the filter is clogged or full it will restrict the flow. These are some cheap fixes. If they done work then you can have the injectors cleaned at a shop but that is a bit more expensive. I hope this helps.

2004 toyota corolla idle jumps

If you dont have any trouble codes, this usually occurs when the idle air control valve (IAC) is going bad.
