The motor might with some modifications, a big difference in years and systems, though both are OBD-1. Not even sure the '86 is injected, or is it carbureted? Better off looking for an engine nearer to your '93. There could be multiple issues with sensors and their wiring between the two. Don't use shortcuts, scope it all out beforehand, or you could wind up with a half finished '93 with a forlorn "pond jumper for sale" in your driveway. good luck, Craig.
There is a vacuum line going through the fire wall into the cab most pickups it is located right in the middle of the truck, this line controls the selector for that a/c vent problem, locate it and itll most likely fix both problems. GOOD LUCK!
try tightening the bolt first i`ve had some that were just loose.there is a seal were it mounts to the block that may need to be replaced if tightening does not work.i don`t think you have to remove the motor mount but its been a while since i`ve done one.
Sit up on the clutch paddle, follow the clutch paddle up under the dash, the rod that goes through the fire wall to the clutch master cylinder, sit around that rod, will have a six pin connector going to it.
check the wiring connector at the bottom of the cutoff switch is it burnt? use a 12 volt test light (avil at any parts store for around $6) to see if it lights up in and out of switch while cranking.
