Are you sure you replaced the plug wires correctly? As for the engine noise, is it overdue for an oil change?

SOURCE: Rough idle

I had the same exact problem on my 2004 Colorado (3.5L). Cleaned the MAF sensor (with MAF sensor cleaner) and throttle body/plate - cleared it right up.

SOUNDS LIKE MAYBE FUEL FILTER NEEDS REPLACE, AND OR EVEN SPARK PLUGS AND WIRES. A GOOD TUNE UP. IF YOU RUN LOW OCTANE FUEL YOU MAY TRY A CAN OF OCTANE BOOST, OBTAINED THRU THGE LOCAL PARTS STORE, IN WITH THE NEXT FILL UP. IT WOULD PROB BE A GOOD IDEA TO GET SOME INJECTOR CLEANER AND PUT IT IN WITH YOUR GAS TO SEE IF THAT HELPS.

Testimonial: "I put in injector cleaner and gas boost. No help. Will replace fuel filter. Could bad oxygen sensor cause this?"

Loud Vibration / Sound Under Acceleration And Starting Engine.

Get the engine mounts checked. A bad mount may allow part of the engine to lie on a body or frame part, allowing engine vibrations to become very loud. Torquing of the engine (under load) can cause the same type problems.

2005 chevy colorade check engine light comes on in warm weather and goes off in cool or cold weather.this has happen several times

Has this problem come shortly after refuelling? Do you live in a humid climate? 9 times out of 10 this is a result of the gas cap. Failing that, can you get your hands on a OBD 2 tool or go to your dealer and have them scan the truck. The Check Engine Light throws a code and the OBD2 tool reads that code. The code points to the problem.

I have a 1999 Chevy Blazer 4dr with 4x4 recently I have noticed that when I accelerate there is a loud rattling coming from th underside of my truck, it also happens while I'm at a stop, and still in...

It could be the catalytic converter. While vehicle is off and parking brake on, go under the vehicle while it is cool and tap on the exhaust. See if the noise doesnt sound the same as you tap where the exhaust goes into the bigger section by the transmission.

How to reset the check engine light on a 2005 chevy colorado.

remove the battery terminals for about 15 mins, that will reset your computer, if you turn it back on and get the same check engine light there is an underlying problem, only certain codes will trigger that light to come on, you'll need to take it to a mech to be sorted sorry to say, hope all goes well for you, matt

Check the oil first, if it is low it will cause a host of noises in the engine.

2001 Chevy Metro

Check Utube for lifter tap, valve tap, and rod bearing noise. If you pull each spark plug one at a time, plugging it back in after each one, the tapping will go away if it's a rod bearing. At any rate, on your next oil change add some valve-medic or similar additive for valve noise. Make sure you follow direction or you will get massive lifter tap if you pour it into a cold engine.
