some of the modules could be failin--have vehicle scanned and run a data stream to confirm--sensors or acuators may be at issue too

clean the sensors

Here's a few things you could check, first try checking the fuses, if there good check the wheel speed sensor connecectors located on the backside of the hubs, also check the brake lines, calipers, wheel cylinders, and brake fluid level.

This is simple on the dash board in your cluster area, there is a rest button, like to one you use to rest trip mileage. Turn you ignition on to the for position, that without the light in the cluster are on eg the abs light and stuff like that. Push down on the reset button for 10 seconds. Still holding the rest button turn the ignition on to the 3rd position this where the abs lights and other come on in the cluster area. Hold for another 10 seconds. Then release the light should go out when vehicle is started. Good Luck

If you are absolutely sure that the all the abs sensors are good. Then the only other factors are the abs unit itself and the abs computer. Please have the system checked with a a scanner to make sure. Remember the only way to an ABS light will reset is by driving the vehicle and if every component of the system is fine the light will go out. Because your light is on there is a problem in the system and your abs is not functioning when the light is ON .Good Luck

Clean your ABS sensors thatg is mounted on the front disc rotors - they are usually covered with metal fillings and dust due to the magnetic properties of the sensors and also check or replace overload relay located behind battery - "Oldmerc" Australia

Try checking all of the ground wire connections. There are a few located on the firewall. I had a crankshaft code coming on and it was the ground that was corroded. Engine performed the same way, dash lights on and off and ABS light coming on and off. The grounds corrected this.
