I have alot of symptons here, first it will start and idle for awhile then it will just die. Next, when you going down the road it acts like your flipping the ignition switch off an on, off an on, when it does that you can push in on the clutch and it never really revs up much then it seems like it dies but picks back up then does it all over again for say 2 or three minutes then it does fine for a few minutes and starts all over again. I'm about to park it and let it rot. It has a fault code for the cam or crank sensor (and it says "cam or crank" sensor). I have replaced the distributer for the cam sensor and replaced the crankshaft sensor and have also replaced the MAF sensor. The truck is in really good shape for its age, meaning the wiring is untouched and near new shape. It a new timing belt at around 50,000 miles and there is only 104,000 on it now. Think about it and see what ya think about it. Thanks in advance.......

You need to have those sensor's circuits tested. One of them probably has a fault. Look at a Haynes or Chilton repair manual for test procedures for the sensors.

SOURCE: 1995 nissan pickup truck fuel problem

Fuel injected or carb? Make sure fuel line itself is clear. Some pumps are designed to self regulate (carb systems) some continually pump and a psi regulator sends back the excess fuel back to the tank (fuel inj systems) If the line is obstructed then pump can't deliver fuel fulltime.

If you think pump is not on consistent, try running a dedicated wire through a switch directly to the pump. If it works then you are looking for an electrical fault going to pump. Good luck.

Why does my car try to die when i drive down the road?

Try to check the ignition coil, when you driving it become hot then the car dies end won't start. After awhile when it's cold, then it will start. Replace the ignition coil.
I hope it solves the problem

1986 Toyota 4wd pickup: problem starting

in my experience alot of times what happens when ignition systems get hot from running for a period of time the ignition coil breaks down and weakens when old and worn out then let it cool down for awhile then starts right back up. so look into checking into the coil break down for loss of spark

Acts like it's not getting enough gas when idoling, drives ok going down the road but not when idoling. Dodge Stratus 2000

I would first have the computer scanned for any codes. codes will help alot in finding the problem, you may have a bad vacuum leak or bad idle air control valve, so start with the codes, autozone parts store will scan your computer for free, get the codes and if you need more help give me the codes and i'l point you down the right path. hope this is helpful.

1993 lumina 3.1 dies going down the road, but starts again

Did you check the pressure with the vacuum hose to the regulator (if applicable) disconnected? Try driving the veh with the press gauge taped to the windshield. Got to replace the gas filter every three years or 30,000 miles or they clog up. The fuel pump armature may be worn and binding up. (new pump) It may just work okey but no volume. Now we go to the TPS. Throttle Position Sensor. Need a digital volt meter or scope to look at it. Worn or out of adjustment. Don't have the car here so it's not easy assume anything. You need too know the systems on a brand of veh and follow a flow chart of likely causes you develop over the years and keep notes for the next vehicle challange.

Idle fluctuates

Its could be a few things. Most likely cause is you IAC (Idle air control valve) If this valve gets clogged up with carbon it will cause a idle surge on cold starts like you are describing.

Next your FITV (fast idle thermal valve). When the hot wax inside of this valve starts to wear it will cause a idle surge on cold starts.
