Have a 1995 Rover Discovery that has been sitting for a few months. Now I have a no start problem and have found that the alarm system is shutting down the fuel system. Isn't there a by-pass that can resolve this problem?

Thanks for all who answered about the 1995 Rover Disco no start problem, but found out that as the vehicle had been sitting and battery dead for a while, the alarm system had locked out the fuel system. Go figure!
    Again, thanks to all!

Oops, let me correct myself there! The vehicle has to be scanned and cleared as even the dealership knew of a by-pass, but seems nobody could remember quite how to do it. Something about adding a ground, but they didn't know where. Have at another facility that is capable of scanning the vehicle where we aren't.
    Thanks

I just expiriance the same problems on my rover so i check it out and found that the engine spark fuse was out. I replaced the said fuse and their you go it started. You can find that fuse under the dashboard in the satellite 1 fuse box. it should be the 3rd one from the right. Good luck buddy hope that helps you out.

If you're standing looking at the rear of the vehicle, it's on the chassis rail on the right hand side rear wheel arch.

My land rover discovery 1 1995 won't start i get

You need a noid light for that but since they are all not firing it's most likely the cam shaft position sensor. That tells the computer the cam shaft position so it knows when to pulse each injector. Let me know if that's it. The cam shaft sensor should be pretty cheap.

Key fob would not open 1995 discovery ,used key in door then alarm went off ,after a few seconds alarm ceased then put key in to start engine and got nothing now cant lock doors with key but red light is...

The red light means the Immobiliser has not been turned off, the deactivator in the key must not be working correctly, visit your local land rover dealer who will be able to make sure the key is paired to the car correctly, otherwise you may need a new key.

My rover turns completely shut off after a few mins of driving or when i stop, the engine dies

This problem is usually caused by a faulty ignition module (Rover calls them Ignition Amplifiers). Rover placed them on the side of the distributor, where they are subject to overheating, resulting in premature failure. They do offer a relocation kit that solves the problem - it is, like most things rover, pretty expensive.

Disco II Car Alarm goes of in the middle of the night

Could be a problem with the sensor, as their is a few sensors, door(s), hood, depending on he car a few others. One of the sensors could be going bad and is super sensetive or intermitten and even if say a gust of wind hits the wire, it'll go off. Im saying it's a bad sensor.

Default code P1451 Land Rover Discovery II

The code P1451 on a Land Rover is "Leakage Detection Module Motor power stage error Drive cycle A:Signal out of range - above maximum". This is an OBD-II diagnostic system code. As far as I know, a 1995 Land Rover Discovery does not use a OBD-II system. Is it possible that this rover is a later model year
