dodge neon 2005 spitting and sputtering when you first start out check engine light is on. Once you get going its ok but if you come to a stop and have to start from stop it sputters until you get her going. Starts just fine.

You'll have to hook it up to an OBD reader to find out.
It could be something as simple as a loose gascap. You'll have to hook it up to an OBD reader to find out.

Get the code. Codes never tell you to change a sensor, they just indicate the problem circuit they are seeing. Only sometimes it is a failure of the sensor.
You probably need test equipment like a digital voltmeter. Maybe join a neon forum to find out how others solved the problem.
Sounds like you mean the problem could be a leak in the EVAP system. The computer vents the gas tank to the vapor canister several times while you are driving. The engine produces vacuum when it is running. Do you have the actual trouble code ?
Yes as long as it runs but would advise taking it in and having it checked out to find out why the light came on would be best.Depending on the issue and how severe the problem is it could cause engine or other drive train damage.
the cam sensor definitly can cause the problem. pull the trouble code and make sure the check engine light is for the cam sensor. if so, replace it and retest
