Question about 2003 Hyundai Santa Fe
I'm trying to figure out what happens when I go through deep puddles in my 02 Santa Fe. It's as if the steering wheel locks up and won't let me pull the completely around a turn but then I go a little further and everything goes back to normal. And it only seems to happen after going through semi-deep puddles where I have to slow down quite a bit (say, at a stop sign). Sometimes, it makes it squeaking noise when I turn the wheel while this is all happening, too. But, when it all goes back to normal everything is fine. Could this possibly be my belt, which I just replaced at the end of last summer? Or something completely different? Any suggestions will help!
Chances are the belt is getting so wet its slipping on the pulley causing you to lose power assist temporarily
