run the fault codes again and fix all of what is suggested in the causes.

if it is shaking bad at a stop you might have a busted motor mount it will make the motor jump when you take off it might be knocking against the underside of your hood i had this happen in my 1995 Monte

go to your local auto parts store and they should have a scanner but it sounds like eather the Throttle Position Sensor or one of the O2 (oxygen Sensors)

No doubt valve seals,the oil gets burned so you usually can't see it.Normal for GM motors,actually the small amount of oil will help the longevity of the engine.They can be changed in a few hours but I would leave it alone.When they get really bad if the car sits and idles you will see some smoke. The seal is just a small o-ring ,they get brittle and fall off.The shop can use air pressure at the spark plug hole to keep the valve up,compress the valve spring and replace the seal.

if you have power there then the fuses are good or relays but if you have power then you ethier have a bad fan or ground wire also that fan should only come on when the ac is on

The ck engine light should not be ignored, what sensor was shown to be bad ? Have it scanned again and replace the sensor that is bad if it still runs rough you might want to consider a tune up. Plugs, wires, fuel and air filter's and clean the throttle body with some gumout. It could also be the IAC motor Idle Air Control. Good Luck

just a thought, have your valves checked, make sure theyre adjusted properly, as for the smell, no idea
