the dash draws but 100x less thatn the head lights.
so even a near dead battery make weak lamps work
starter needs 100amps
the had lamps 10amps
the days 0.1amps 100x less.

for get the wheels, engines dead ,wheels are last. never first.

why not jumper cable start the car just like all AAA members do.

if car cranks and starts and runs. then the battery was low
if low charge it , if it wont take a charge replace it.
if it does hold a charge and goes dead driving the charges system is failing, if it fails, clean battery terminals first. and at ever 30k miles.
there are many systems on the car,
each must work in there turn.

Take the battery and have it load tested. Most places that sell car batteries can do this for you. The battery may not have the amperage to start the vehicle even though it has the proper voltage.

Seems like your battery is not getting any charge, have your alternator checked out, its probably on its way out...

Have the vehicle tested for a bad starter. Try Sears or Walmart or your local battery retailer or auto parts store.

charge up the battery check your spark plug,wires.check your air flow,gas pump,starter and ignition fuses change the bad ones it should work

sounds like you might just have a new battery that needs charging FIRST - before you try anything erlse - check ur new battery - they sometimes come without a charge.


How many miles - ?

First it is best to be sure the solenoid is ok. There are two large 'terminals' on the solenoid -
one leads to the battery - using a jumper wire or even a screw driver - [ get a pro or someone with more experience if u not confident here] - jump the large BATTERY SIDE terminal to the small wire terminal - it usually has a simple push on wire - remove the little wire - and put ur jumper cable on that terminal - - be sure the car is in park - and or emergency break on.
Also be sure your neutral safety switch is good. If ur car is automatic then put it in neutral - with brake on and try it -

Have your alternator checked. Most auto supply places do this at no charge. Multiple dashboard warning lights usually indicate alternator problems.

have your starter checked. a bad one will draw every amp from your bat and still wont work

sounds like you are putting a bad battery into the car...try a fresh battery.  Batter is spelled...battery

It could possibly be the starter, but before you get that far make sure the Battery cables are connected very tight. If loose the car won't start or do anything. Also make sure the battery cable is grounded.
