So this morning I stop to fill up with fuel and I can't put the nozzle in the tank! ... station where their fuel nozzle didn't "fit" the capless thing so the door didn't open. ... You need the Ford funnel. ... Like they're saying, if the pump end isn't big enough it won't hit the latch. ... You'll get the nozzle stuck in the filler.

I would find the trany tube first which will be smaller in diameter than the oil one. then go to the dealer if the cap for the tube with no cap has the dipstick on it all in one and make sure the dipstick isn't already down the tube if it is supossed to be attatched to the cap.

Capless fuel filler will not open for the nozzel

is this the body work cover or the cap that goes to fuel filler cap if its the body one there is a small wire poll that keeps this shut or a plastic clip go into boot where the inside of the filler cap goes into boot pull back the covers and the mecanisim to work this shold be there should be able to open it by hand not sure on model as from uk but most cars are built the same ish hope this helps ivan ps if it just the filler cap use a pair of mould grips to turn it

not sure depends on what they had available on teh assembly on the night shift it was built i suppose ,american models use a capless bulb but the europeon models have capped bulbs and yellow indicators ,the stop light will be a 12v 21watt /6 watt bulb the american version will have a capless 12v single filament

Just bought 08 focus 1.6 zetec with no manual how do i fill up with capless filler tank it appears to have a bar across the top

I wasn't aware that they used the capless design on a 2008 Focus. You may want to double check with the dealer on this. Normally, with capless, you just open the filler door and insert the nozzle. Could it be the top of the cap came off and you're looking at the under-frame of the cap? Try twisting it off counter-clockwise. You'll need a new cap if that's the case but it should be covered under warranty.
