You problaly need a new front hub assy. They have the abs sensor built in. You need to see what code you have for the ABS and it will tell what you hub is bad. Don Suzuki tech

  • Anonymous Aug 23, 2009

You need to have the abs system read to see if there is any codes. If you get a abs sensor code, then that sensor wheel hub assy needs to be replaced. Now if it is a hub brg sensor code I believe that is cover under the 7 years 100,000 miles warrentry. But it depends when the first date of sale was. Have the complete vin number and call Suzuki dearler and they can find out for you. Any questions, give me a note back, Don Suzuki tech

If there is a roaring sound, it's definitely the front hub assembly. Mine has the same issue. New one costs about $150 at Peb Boys. :)

You most probably have a bad speed sensor on one wheel if it is intemitent try unpluging each on and repluging them, sometimes just a bad connector, If this doesn't help get someone to scan the codes for you and it will tell you which sensor is the problem. Keep in mind that until you fix this you can not depend on your ABS system. Normal braking should be fine though.

SOURCE: bmw 316 ABS light stays on

Your ABS systems use a combination of electronic and hydraulic systems to modulate the brakes individually to prevent them from locking up. Antilock systems consist of wheel speed sensors, a hydraulic control unit (HCU), and an electronic control unit (ECU). Because of how complex the system is your computer does a self-test. If the check is successful, the ANTILOCK and BRAKE lights will go out within a few seconds. If one or more of the component of the ABS system fails to pass one or both lights will remain lit, the system will shut down and set a code. The code itself does not tell exactly what component is defective - it only indicates where to look, or what parameter is out of normal range. You or a technician will have to perform further testing to pinpoint cause and the proper repair. Even if you reset the light, if the underlying problem is not addressed it will come back on.

Please let me know if this information is helpful. Positive feedback is appreciated. Thank You!

SOURCE: 2007 Dodge Caravan ABS light stays on after

Common issue when a wheel sensor gets faulty. On every wheel there is a sensor which informs the ABS system about wheel speed. If any of them is broken then the ABS system locks up and you get the warning light. In this case your brakes are working just as fine but you dont have ABS so wheels can block when you push the brake hard enough.Trouble code reader can tell you which one is faulty.

I have a 2004 Suzuki Verona in which the ABS light comes on every so often. I read the manual and it says to restart the car and the ABS light will do away which it has. Is there a way to fix the issue...

When the light comes on you can go to a auto parts store and have them read the codes for free. The issue could be caused by a lot of things and a specific code number will be a big help.

The esp and abs light stays on my Suzuki Zs5 1.9diss 2010

The stability control system gets all it's information from the ABS system. The ABS system gets all it's info from the wheel speed sensors. Once the ABS system stores a trouble code, it shuts off the stability control and lights both lights. So, get the ABS trouble code read. That's the starting point.

What does code 1670 mean on 04 suzuki verona

p1670 is a communications error between abs module and ecm- ecm does a communications check in first 5 seconds of cycling key from off to on/start. Can be affected by other modules on network, possible causes include but are not limited to bad abs module, wiring, connectors, terminals in connector, chafing of wiring, possible software issue. Recommend clearing codes and waiting for it to become a hard code( sets code EVERY time key is cycled on ) in order to pinpoint- very elusive problem unless setting a hard code

2004 suzuski have a loud sound when driving and get louder driving faster

This sounds similar to what was wrong with my Verona when I bought it private party. Is the ABS light on? Take your car into the shop to see if it's the wheel hub assembly (wheel bearing). Sadly, if it is the wheel bearing, a new one is pricey $$$. Good luck! :)
Additional Info: I've only had my 2004 Verona EX for a few months and it has been nothing but problems--the first being a bad wheel bearing. Check Engine light seems to be on every other week because the fuel system is too lean somewhere. It's also an oil hog. Unless you have an extended drivetrain warranty, forget getting any help from Suzuki Corporate.

I have a 2004 Suzuki Verona with check engine light on showing codes 0171, 0174, and 1670. could someone have a solution

Hello! The first two codes are indicating the engine is running to lean...A vacuum leak or a dirty Mass Air Flow (MAF) sensor can cause these codes...The third code is a communication error between ECM (Computer) and ABS (automatic Braking System)...Lets put that one on the back burner...Perform the following and send a comment with results...

Check for loose or broken vacuum lines...Follow diagram under hood...

The MAF is located between the air filter and the throttle body...It can be cleaned, If contaminated with debris or if you are using an after market air filter, with oil....Remove MAF (see photo below) and spray with electronic parts cleaner (sold at auto stores and Radio Shack)...Then replace...Clear codes by disconnecting battery for 5 minutes...Make sure you have your radio code before disconnecting battery...

Why the ABS light comes on? and what does it mean?

Brake light comes on when ever the system needs maintenance. When it comes on it means that your Anti-Lock brake system may not be fully working. Usually the sensors get dirty or old. A cheap way o fix the problem is to clean all of the abs sensor. In many cases this will make the light go off.
