Air pressure light on in dash, checked tire pressure and light still on. Pushed the reset on the odometer, the words on odometer went off. The icon for the tire pressure is still on. Also, just wondering what exactly is the sensor and where is it located, the idea of this blows my mind as I understand that is like a wireless signal of sorts.
It sounds ike one of your wheel sensors is faulty. These are part of the valve on the wheel rim where you add air to inflate. The only way to replace this is to remove the tyre. Your best bet is to take it back to your local main dealer as they are fully equipped to deal with such issues.

Unplug battery for couple hours to let computer reset while battery is unplugged turn key on to drain all power in system after few hours you should be good. Also make sure all tires got same amount of pressure.
Hello: Check tire pressure, Proper pressure should be on a label on the driver door and door frame. If tires are low, air them up to spec's. If only one tire is low you should check it for a puncture.
the odometer button has nothing to do with the tires. After you set the tires to the correct pressure, it should go off by itself., sometimes it takes a while, few miles. Be sure to check the spare. some trucks have a sensor there, you will be able to look at it and tell if it has a sensor by the construction of the valve stem. If all tires are good, and the light does not go off, the dealer will need to check it out. You say you put air in, but not what pressure. The pressure spec is on the drivers door jamb. I would go 2 psi more than the sticker.
With and without "Mesage Center" respectively (pretty sure)
With the engine on...
Push "Setup" button, until your driver display says something like "Press Reset for system check".
Then push Reset. The system check will start, rotating through a series of checks.
About the fifth or sixth check will be the tire pressure. The system will sound the tone (same one that starts w/the light) and It'll say something like "Check Tires Pressure" on that moment press and hold for 3 or 4 seconds Reset. When you release the Reset button It'll show "Hold Reset if tires are OK". While that's up, hold the Reset button. After 3 or 4 seconds, the tire warning light will blink 2 or 3 times and then will stop .You need to be ready for it, because you don't get very long to release.
How to reset the low tire pressure warning if the vehicle does not have the "Message Center"
Turn the ignition to the ON position, depress and Trip/odometer button (located in the instrument cluster) until "TIRE RESET" or "CHECK TIRE AND RESET" is displayed in the odometer display window. Once "TIRE RESET" or "CHECK TIRE AND RESET" is displayed, press and hold the button for three seconds. The low tire warning indicator light will flash three times as the low tire warning system begins to initialize.
It's also a good idea to reset the tire pressure sensors when you air up the tires. If I remember correctly, you click the odometer/trip meter switch until it flashes TIRE RESET (or something similar) then press the button and hold it for a few seconds. That way it sets itself to the pressure in the tires at the moment, and if it notices a pressure drop it puts up a warning.
