SOURCE: My 1998 ford mustang v6 3.8l .. is hard to start

So what you saying is it's hard to start cold right? Something in computer system not allowing excess fuel to injectors when cold. Probably sensor Get auto electrician to sort it out otherwise you end up replacing things that there is nothing wrong with They got the right gear

it's your upper intake manifold gasket. it has a crack in it and needs to be replaced. your getting to much air and not enough gas. mine did the same thing.

SOURCE: Car idles rough and sputters

this sounds like theres not enough fuel preasure or a bad sparkplug wire or coil, put gauge on the fuel rail and check the preasure, if its good then a tune up may be needed,

1988 cougar xr7 starts and idles fine for 30 sec then idle drops and dies. starts back up but will not idle and dies. will stay runnin if you speed it up. just put new fuel pump in

This sounds like it's being starved of fuel. Does it struggle to start? Did you fit the pump yourself? Recheck all the connections to and from the fuel pump. There could be a loose pipe that is letting air into the system. Speeding up is just running the pump faster.

1996 mercedes c280 dies when put in drive

Engine stalls or RPM fluctuates at idle up and down or dies near idle.

This problem is commonly caused by a dirty automatic idle speed control valve and throttle valve but always run a OBD2 fault code as well as the cleaning procedure. Buy a can of throttle valve cleaner (do not use carburetor spray cleaner!) from NAPA or Carquest (made by CRC chemicals) and spray it into the air intake while the engine is running, use up about 1/2 the can, engine will try to stall hold the speed up, shut it down and let it soak for 30 minutes, restart and blow out the remaining fluid, shut it down and disconnect the negative battery cable for 5 Min's to reset the base idle control

I have a 94 Mustang 5.0, two problems , one my air bag light flashes on then stays on then disappears for a bit, second it doesn't want to seem to idle, you start it up it idles for a couple minutes then...

As far as the stalling is the tps sensor okay, check it to make sure its in spec, as far as the air bag light you will need to scan the codes and see what code is being stored in the system, its a 94 so you will need to count the flashes of the light and thats the code, also check the map sensor thats a common problem also with these, good day,

My 1994 5.0 mustang doenst want to idle and dies when u put it in gear. any ideas?

Hi,
The idle air control (IAC) that is located on the side of the throttle body may be stuck closed. This controls idle speed and cold start idle speed. It can be cleaned if it is removed and disassembled.
Hope this helps

I have a 1994 Dodge Dakota, no power at low rpms

yes it does if it is reading lets say lower than normal that would explain easy start up and stalling later.the coolant temp sensor has two wires .so if your car warms up and your coolant is about 200 degrees your coolant sensor might say 80 degrees .access to a scanner to check temp would be great.
