My 2007 honda accord which was bought a few months ago,the outside temperature gauge has stopped working, also i noticed a week earlier a spot of oil on my driveway which came from the car near the drivers side. upon inspection couldnt see anything leaking, besides the temp gauge now not working is this an indication of a problem that needs to be attended to!

The outside temp could be the outside sensor, if you don't worry about knowing the outside temp its no problem, the oil leak is something to look into and repair

SOURCE: 2003 Honda Accord Check Engine / Maintenaice Requeried

If you brought your car to Honda for service, they probably forgot to reset the maintenance reminder. If you took it to another shop, they probably did not know how to reset it. Anyway, the reset procedure is:

Put your key in the ignition
Turn the key to the II position for a couple of seconds
Then turn the key to the off position
Now push and hold in the odometer reset button
While still holding the odometer reset button, turn the key back to the II position
Hold for I think 10 seconds or so and your maintenance reminder light should reset it self.

SOURCE: audi engine oil leak?

Sounds like a leaking valve cover gasket. The parts are around $50 to do both cylinder heads from www.ecstuning.com. It's not a major issue, but it may be a sore point to a potential buyer.

1988 lxi honda accord battery drains overnight

Just a couple problems I've had. dome light left on due to faulty door open switch, spot light charger or equipment left plugged or wired to battery, lately I thought I had a bad battery but I just need to clean the terminal connections. One more thing if your car is running you can pull the negative cable off the battery. If the car dies your alternator could be the problem. If you have a light in the trunk or under the hood you could pull the bulb out to make sure you don't have a faulty switch turning them on. These are kind of simple and that is the way I start out.

I have an automatic 1997 4.0litre Jeep Cherokee Ltd. A few months ago whilst towing I noticed that the temperature gauge was fluctuating from just above 40 to over 100. Very shortly afterwars the radiator...

guess, here in net bunny land.?
sure, that is coolant lose. the gauge can measure air temps
so goes goofy. all do with air there.
so find and fix that leak.
its a pressurized system 14psi, so any leaks will be very serious.

I have a 2002 honda accord sedan lx. the transmission is not doing right, and i noticed i dont have to push the button to change from drive 4 to drive 3. also i had a transmission flush 2 months ago...

Shifter in my 99 Honda goes from D4 to D3 without pushing button also. I 'NEVER' recommend flushing transmissions, it will always cause problems. I've been rebuilding transmissions for 25 years now, flushing causes all the buit-up contaminates to stop up the filter, which cannor be changed on Hondas. I have to admit though I get 'ALOT' of work since the introduction of flushing machines. Good luck.
