Assuming that the radio is original to the car, collect your VIN and fill out the Volvo's customer service form. You should have an answer in a business day or two. Radio Code Volvo Cars
Ring a major volvo dealer. If you give them your engine or chassis number they should be able to provide you with the unlock code providing the radio is the original one fitted when new. Enter code using preset station numeric buttons. Write the code on the back of your sun visor for next time
My volvo 940gl did exactly the same, it turned out to be the fuel injection relay. I changed it and the car ran perfectly happy for the next 2 years until I sold it.
Take it to the dealer and ask the service person to help you enter the code. I am sure there going to be more then happy help you enter the code free of charge, since there going to want your business in the future. Good luck and hope this helps.
Did you enter the code in the proper sequence? I reprogrammed mine and it took quite awhile to reset. The manual will tell you how long it takes. It works fine now. Hope this helps.
You will either need to go to the dealer and pay him for one, or, like I have done with a VW, find a good website with a forum that you can ask. Often, mechanics will be on the forum, and if you give them the detail info needed, they will get a code number for you.
The radio code is an anti-theft precauction, we do not have access to them, there is a web site that will sell the info to you, radiocode.com, the dealer can also provide this info.
