If this is the same as the hyundai verna 1999, which I have, I have been told by the mechanic i bought it off that it is the 'Lean burn' system in the car that reduces the flow of petrol to the engine when you are running at below 2000 revs to save fuel, which kind of makes sense with the lack of acceleration when the L/B green light is on. It gets a little bit annoying at times, but just put your foot down a bit harder then the light goes off and no problem with acceleration after that!!

    Hope that helps

You need to have a diagnostic test done, you can do this with an OBD2 reader, this will tell you the problem.

What does code 1-p0650 mean?

P0650 Malfunction Indicator Lamp (MIL) Control Circuit Malfunction

Malfunction Indicator Lamp (MIL) is located on the instrument panel. When the ignition switch is turned ON without engine running, MIL will light up. This is a bulb check. When the engine is started, MIL should go off. If MIL remains on, the on board diagnostic system has detected an engine system malfunction.

Possible Causes:
  • Harness or connectors (MIL circuit is open or shorted.)
  • MIL bulb may be faulty
