Ok so here's what's happening.
Brake light and ABS light on = no heater blower (no recirculation light/ outside air light) no rear defrost
Brake lights turn off- air light back on and blower works
When no air lights/no blower= no power windows
Brakes lights don't have to be on for no blower. But if they are on- no blower is certain.
So frustrating!! Intermittent.. fine some days. Doesn't work at all some days.
Thanks!!!
Sorry yadayada ! BCM has nothing to do with these systems . Could possibly be a ground issue or they share a power supply ! Red brake light an ABS light lit on the instrument cluster , these are probably related ! Have check for DTC'S - diagnostic trouble codes . Brake lights an HVAC blower motor have different grounds . After looking at a wiring diagram and seeing where B+ voltage comes from the ignition switch . The brake light an ABS light come on when the EBCM - electronic brake control module looses B+ voltage . I 'm just taking a guess here but it could be an igition swith problem . Take it an have it checked , Test don't guess !

youre car needs to have an abs diagnostic work up done on it to get a trouble code and to go futher with a repair. on a cutlass the brakes will feel fine with the abs light on but they will not divert brake pressure in the event of a panic stop thus causing a wheel to skid.
good luck. chris

you may have a ABS problem. I would drive it and attemp to skid the tires an dsee if the pump activates. sometimes this will unstick any valves inside the ABS unit. you may need to have a qualified repair shop check deeper. the ABS will have a code, and a scanner will be needed to check further.

I have the same problem with my brake lights and Im replacing the turn signal switch... Got it straight from the dealer for about 150, found one used for 100. I'll let you know if replaceing the turn signal switch is the right fix.
Testimonial: "this mech was right on. it was my turn signal switch.I would pull back on it and the lights worked .Gonna change it this weekend. Thank so much."

Check switch at brake pedal and relay in fusebox. Recommend replace brake light relay, as inexpensive way to possible solution.

have the Body Control Module tested for proper function, the GM dealer needs to do this.
