My 99 deville d'elegance overnight starts up fine with 14.2V but as it warms up, the volts start dropping to 12.5V...when i turn off radio and AC it jumps up to about 13V. I replaced battery, alternator(correct amperage), belt, spark plugs, cleaned throttle body. I know how to maintain my car but this is frustrating. My knock sensor makes noises sometimes but quits after awhile. My coil packs make a ticking noise, not a marble in a jar noise(made marble noise once). What is my next move, start moving grounds to different places?

After starting the vehicle, look at the volt (alternator) gauge while one at a time shutting the radio and A/C off. As the grounded or shorted load is removed, the voltage should restore and show on the gauge.

SOURCE: Car won't start, battery power loss could it be the alternator?

Alternator should have better than 13.5v output with all accessories on including headlamps.Check with volt meter right at battery terminals (running) If not it's not working properly. Doubtful from what you have said that starter is bad. Also check that terminal connections are clean and tight on battery.

SOURCE: I have a 98 cadillac

The clicking noise is usually the starter solenoid failing to engage. In your case it sounds like it is just barely starting to fail and the new battery simply gave it enough juice to overcome and start. I would expect the problem to return soon. When it does, locate the starter and give it a few light taps with a hammer or other weighted object while turning the key. this should enable it to start. In that case you will need to replace the starter.

Only clock come on til warm weather then starts like champ 88 pathfinder 4X4

What I am understanding is that when you turn the key on and it is cold, only the clock works. No lights or radio or starter when you turn the key to the start position. But in warm weather every thing works. If this is so, then start by checking the battery voltage. It should read 12.5-13 volts disconnected from the cables. Under a load checked, drop no more that to 10.5 volts. If good, then connect the cables and recheck the system. 12 + volts should be at the fuse box. If not there is a bad connection some where. It could be a bad connection on the positive wire or a bad connection on the ground side. The ground wires should be connected to both the car body and engine.

I have a 99 solara se. I have new battery and alternator but the car can't carry a load. Ac lights heater radio so forth

Not sure I follow your problem.
The alternator puts out 13-14 volts at idle but very few amps. If you turn on the headlights at idle the voltage may drop to 12 until you raise engine speed. The amperage goes up with engine speed.
Is the battery voltage at least 14 when the engine speed is 1500RPM or more ?

2000 MONTE CARLO BLINKERS DO NT WORK,AC/AND HEAT DO NT WORK,AND RADIO IS SAYING LOCKED UP

Does the vehicle start?
If not, then check battery voltage. If below 12.5 volts, then recharge the battery and retest system charging voltage (should be around 14 volts)
If battery is fine and vehicle starts, then check fuse box and wiring loom connectors.

98 deville de elegance will not start untill I pull on the starter cable cable is tight at the battery

If your pulling on the cable and then it works I would probably bet its the cable or the connection on either end. Either way you are pulling the intake to check and/or doing a voltage drop test to check the integrity of the cable.

I have a 99 Cadillac D'Elegance, that just started overheating. It didn't lose anti freeze/coolant until after it overheated. I turned the heat up to the highest temp. and it blew out cool

water level was low thats why it blew cold ,you may have a slight leak somewhere but once the level drops below a critical amount then it will overheat so ask a local mechanic to have a good look for you as this sort of problem is often beyond the scope of a owner to locate the leak ,when running check the difference between the top and bottom rad hoses as well if bottom hose cold then it could be the thermostat .
