I have a 2003 mercedes c230. When the car is slowing down to a stop. Every time it shudders, or does a slight pause or hesitation. These cars have problems with hesitating on acceleration due to a sensor in the accelerator pedal but while braking?? Because of consistency I'm not sure if it is having a really hard down shift to 1 or whether its an idle air control type problem. Either way I got no codes. No lights on. Anybody have a similar issue ? Or have any ideas on what I should be checking for?

SOURCE: Vehicle hesitates when you accelerate .

make sure you have the correct spark plugs(2)check the throttle position sensor on the car,as most people would be driving about with the throttle on the floor car feels fine.but as in normal driving anyone only uses the first half of the pedal and this is where most wear takes place and sometimes causes hesitation when driving.best of luck.

SOURCE: engine light is on ,code P0171, hesitates when start driving

If you have had a bad enough problem with the fuel filter, and it is not the fuel pump I would have to say it is the injectors. If your car is fuel injected there could be dirt in the injectors in which case they will need to be replaced. The problem is you can flush the whole fuel system except for the fuel injectors themselves. Though I am not sure how to check them myself, a mechanic could tell you if this is the problem in minutes. I cant say for sure if this is your problem but I have a 79 corrolla and it is doing the same thing and since I have replaced almost the whole fuel line except for the injectors themselves this is what I am leaning towards. Good luck!

My Mercedes has a shimmy when I put on the brakes. What could it be ?

It sounds like the ABS shudder. When you say 'new brakes' do you mean new pads or all new calipers? Did you pressure bleed the system from the caliper upwards to the reservoir?

2003 Mercedes Benz C230 coupe. Where does the FM antenna plug in?

Question moved to Mercedes Benz C230.

It is the lines in the rear hatch glass. There is a connector the bottom and a plug in the back of the radio.

2002Honda civic ex jerks and hesitates when not accelerating

I would have the catylic convertor checked.
Then have the transmission check . I am guessing the transmission is automatic. The torque convertor could be shuttering when slowing down to a stop.

Release hood on 2003 c230 Mercedes

Pull the red lever under the drivers side dashboard-about where your left knee would be, sitting in the vehicle. The hood will pop up and a tongue will protrude through the front grille. Pull this tongue and at the same time, lift the hood.
