I have an audi 100 cs quattro. My battery is good but my engine won't turn over. Could it be my starter?

How do you know your battery is good? A common mistake is to assume that if the lights, radio, etc, work that the battery must be good. A lot more energy is required to start the engine than is required for the accessories. If your battery isn't in great shape it won't turn the engine over.

Assuming you've checked that. Can you describe what happens when you try to start the car? Is there ANY noise? Clicking sound maybe? Could be the starter if you hear a buzzing noise (or no noise, assuming you do have a good battery).

SOURCE: DOOR PANEL REMOVAL

You'll need to remove screws that are by the door handle, arm rest, under door and side of door and then gently pull back on the panel as there will also be retaining clips attached and you don't want to break them. If needed, you can pull back the weather seal (can't reuse it, but it's not that important) and you will be able to access everything inside the door

Have a 1992 CS 100 that wont turn over. Battery is new and everything has power. Runs good if push started but will not start once turned off. Any ideas?

first bypass fusible link to see if it's at fault then, if it still don't start, your starter should be tested. it takes a good starter to turn the engine over.

Audi 100cs does not crank and does not start

If you have acess to a mutimeter check the batery voltage. Should be around 12.5 volts. also check batery voltage when trying to crank engine. Should drop to 9volts while cranking. If it dose but engine dose not turn over you know power is still going to the starter motor but its just not turning. This could be a bad conection in the starter some where.if voltage dose not drop you know power is not reaching the starter motor. this could be a bad earth to the starter from the baterty somewhere. But also listen for clunking or clicking noices while cranking which would surgest the starter is trying to turn. try this before doing any other diagnostics.hope this helps
