for sure get under truck with someone else inside with a rubber hammer or a block of wood hit the tank in the center and ask the person to crank the engine if it starts yes fuel pump time this is quite often the problem if it doesnt work start new fuses first then fire at the plugs injectors and so on but almost sure 95% fuel pump as well change fuel filter or you may have bad gas but it ran good before and nobody put sugar in the tank
Since the fuel pump is in the gas tank, your pump picked up debris, and dirt on the bottom of the tank and ran it into your fuel filter.
Replace fuel filter, and check fuel pump fuse.
Running your vehicle with less than a 1/4 tank of gas is hard on the pump, because the fuel pump uses gas to cool it.
Please let me know what you find.
Without crawling inderneath our car to look, I'd say the tire hit your fuel tank and dented it or tore a hole in it. The fuel pump and fuel guagesending unit are in the fuel tank, and the pump itself sits pretty much at the bottom of the tank. If the chunk of tire put a big enough dent in the tank, it could dislodge the pump or put it in a spot where it would not pick up any fuel. I once hit a racoon that I couldn't avoid and it ripped the muffler clear off my car. Highway speeds and decent sized objects can cause some pretty serious damage to cars.
