'we recently replaced the batter of our 2003 Honda Odyssey. Soon after, the battery was dead again. We tried to recharge it with a home charger kit after it had completely drained, but the car alarm started to go off, and the only way to disable it was to put the key in the ignition and turn it to the on position However, with the key in the on position, the charger shuts off. Is there anything you can suggest? we're having the same problem - the panic / car alarm won't stop and the battery is dead. we tried disconnecting the battery and the charger, waiting for a while and reconnecting and it immediately started honking again.

Have you tried putting your Valet (original keys) into the ignition and turning it to the II position?

Put the key in the door and unlock it,it should go off.

When the battery is disconnected and replaced and when the battery is drained and then recharged, the anti-theft device in your car was activated.
Refer to your Manual to arm and disarm the anti-theft device, it should reset
If this does not work using the remote, try locking and unlocking the driver side door with the key and IMMEDIATELY START the car.

Make sure your hood is shut. I just got my 2002 Honda Odyssey back from the dealer today (90,000 mile check-up - I love my van and will drive it until it dies!) and when I went to lock the van with my remote transmitter, the lights didn't flash and the horn didn't sound. I open and closed all the doors and tailgate and I could hear that the doors were locked, but the security system wasn't working and that is why the lights didn't blink or the horn didn't sound. I walked up to the front of the van to check the hood to make sure it was closed (there isn't an indicator light for an open hood, only open doors) and the hood wasn't shut completely. Once I opened the hood and let it drop to securely shut, I hit the door lock button on the remote and everything worked like a charm! Hope this helps others in this predicament.
