Took serpentine belt off and forgot how its goes back on. 1997 ford f150 4x4 5.4

braces usually go on alternator, a/c compressor or power steering pump

with a/c

witout a/c

these are tough ones to get back on. I loosen the idler pulley belt to get mine on with ease. I took three times of different technics before I found this way was the easiest to do

The label with the diagram is either under the hood or on the crossmember at the front of the engine bay. However, if it has been removed, here is a website that lists them all. Select your year, make and model, along with your engine, and the list of parts it brings up will include your serpentine belt. The link to the diagram for the belt will not appear to be a link, so look next to the part number and you should see a text link for the instructions.

there should be a routing sticker under the hood if not go to the dealer and get a new one there just a sticker.
