it could be defend on what place you are in this world. there are recommended oil for a particular place whether you use synthetic, semi-synthetis or a mineral(non-synthetic) oil.
better to look the original owner's manual what oil is recommended on
your place.
and suggest the ff.
20-40 or 20-50 for hotter climat w/o freezing temperature
5-30 to 5-20 w/ hot/cold climate

Complete maintenance for your Benz requires - Oil & filter should be changed every 3k. New spark plugs, new plug wires, new distributer cap and rotor, air filter, and trans fluid & filter, brake fluid flushed 7 fuel filter replaced every 30k & tires rotated.

drain via sump plug,replace oil filter,fill through oil filler cap.

Mercedes makes it easy! Get a 10 quart oil pump and draw the oil out of the dipstick tube. The oil filter is on top so can be removed with a filter wrench and easily replaced. No need to jack the car up or crawel under. No fuss no mess and a 10 minute oil change!!!

remove oil pan drain plug, drain oil. check gasket on drain plug re-install drain plug , fill oil to correct level.

unscrew plastic cover on top of motor , pull wire and remove. Use Bosch F8DC4's as they are the correct plug. Plugs listed at most stores including Mercedes dealership give you a resistor plug which can fry the ECU.

get under car.find oil pan,remove the plug].with something to catch the old oil[ let drain change oil filter.replace with new one.after all oil has drained.put plug back in and fill with oil per your manufactures guidelines

try removing the belly plate ,sump guard or whatever else you want to call it but it does have one on the side of the sump and its recessed if i remember rightly with an allen key head

You need to spray WD 40 all around the wire and leave overnight you should be able to pull off the wire, always works for me.
