Something push on trunk release switch in glove compartment when you open the glove box it release the switch

No trick, it is most likely locked, use a putty knife an pry it open carefully near the center where the latch is, it will pop open

you can charge the battery from the engine compartment. check your owners manual that is the correct place to jump and to charge the battery.

First off, Check for obstuction/s in or around solenoid drive drive rod.Second,if no problem found.clean up and lubricate contact jaws with white lithium grease. and you should be good to go. While you have the grease in your hand LUBRICATE the door strikers too. Hope this cures you ailment

Suspect faulty relay box. When it's opened enough to trigger glove box light is when trunk pops. Anybody able to confirm?
