Infinity fx35 2004 i changed my radiator for a water leak .but the problem is the same,water leak in the parking floor.the car in s not overheating and the engine has no oil consumption and i do the gas test it s ok no head cylinder failure.thx

Have u checked the water pump? the gasket could be bad! if that's not the problem check the thermostat. they also make a dye u can poor in the radiator called auto pro uv dye. you can get it at advanced auto parts store! use a black light and it'll show you where the leak is coming from! hope this helps!

Look for Castrol TWS 10W60 Motor Oil. This car should not burn so much oil, you need to use a different kind. It is recommended by BMW as well. I also heard the VANOS isnt an issue anymore, can be fixed with a different MAFF. Good luck!

ok, its time for a radiator flush. there is major sludge in the internals of this radiator. Make sure the thermostat is in the correct position as well. I've seen many cars come into my shop with the thermostat inserted backwards.

your radiator oil cooler went bad and coolant got in your oil so replace the radiator the cooler is built in!

SOURCE: 1995 jeep cherokee overheating...oil getting into coolant system.

try changing head gasket and this may sort your prob. could poss be a cracked head though

Car overheating

Two things to check:

1. Make sure you do not have an air bubble in your cooling system. Easiest way is to park facing uphill and let the car cool off. Remove the radiator cap, start the car and let run until the thermostat opens. If there are air bubbles in the cooling system the should be forced out. Top off fluid.
2. Are you sure that the cooling fan is running? When the car is getting hot, open the hood and make sure the radiator fan is actually turning.

How do I check for a blown head gasket on my 1990

Pretty much same answer as I gave for 87 Reliant see below. Shops have equipment to do cylinder leakage test. Do basic stuff below before doing last test ...cylinder leakage...which costs $$$.

Main point you are losing antifreeze/water. Check to see if you have water on the dipstick mixed in with oil. If so...probably a head gasket. If oil looks normal..... Before you do any test, tighten every hose connection. Check for loose connection into antifreeze reservoir. Sometimes there are small cracks on top which lets out pressure from cooling system. Look for leaks on water pump and radiator. Look at spot where you park the car...any liquid on floor? Not sure?..Put piece of cardboard under car to see if liquid is dripping from car. No leaks?...Start with a pressure test of the system. The pressure test is simply equipment that replace the radiator cap, a hand pump connected to it then air is pumped into cooling system. You watch the gauge to see if pressure is dropping. If pressure does not drop ..problem is most like a worn radiator pressure cap or stuck thermostat.. Do not buy the kind with button on cap to push down and release pressure. get original type and correct pressure. If overheating still, thermostat could be stuck, replace. Overheating of engine causes vapor lock, bubbles in fuel, which causes car to stall and kill. When cools off, fuel cools down and fuel will flow through fuel system again. Large amount of oil disappearing with overheating also sounds like head gasket or cracked head....Tighten up all bolts to gaskets, look for oil leaks on garage floor or driveway. If engine has developed a miss when running, pull plugs out and look for wet fouled plug. If antifreeze leaking into cylinder...plug tip will be whitish, if oil leaking into cylinder, grimey oil fouled. Do compression test on cylinder that is fouled and that will pinpoint if bad head gasket or cracked head. When doing compression test, radiator cap is removed and you listen to hear bubbles in radiator from the cylinder leaking into cooling system. 87 Reliant not worth pulling engine apart if head gasket or cracked head. Best oil treatment to reduce oil consumption is "Engine Restore" Used on my 58 Impala 348 tri power for 28 years. If I did not add it after oil changes it used oil and smoked....I swear by it for ANY engine after 100,000 miles.

I change the thermstat i change the water pump what alse would make it over heat

I have a 1998 Disco I and I have the same problem. This weekend, June 29, 2013 my car overheated while driving up a maze in a parking garage to the guest parking. All of a sudden my temperature went way high but not quite at the redline. By the time I got to the seventh level and turned off the care, the radiator spewed fluid everywhere. The next morning I drove it home (3 miles) and it did not overheat. I filled the radiator with water and there is no obvious leak. I don't know what to do and I have been driving here and there with no problem and no overheating !!!!?????

Radiator overheating

If the overheating is only occasional, it sounds like the radiator still has some blockage that moves around and plugs up again. Try flushing it backwards again. If it continues, consider a new radiator. A radiator is cheaper than head gasket work, which may happen if it keeps overheating.

Why does the motor overheat and looses water

You have a leak somewhere is the obvious answer, the hard part is finding the leak, it could be a hole in the rad or a split in a hose somewhere, I suggest you drive the car for 15 mins, park it up, pop the hood/bonnet and see if you can see a leak, then look under the engine ( on the floor ) and see if there are any leaks on the floor. you can get solutions you put in the radiator to fix radiator leaks, but a hose, could burst and cause a massive engine failure, hoses need to be replaced.

Saturn L200 keeps overheating , I have replace thermostat, radiator recovery tank cap, heat sensor, but it is still overheating. what do I need to do to fix the problem

Either the coolant is escaping, or not circulating. If there is coolant in a puddle under where the car is usually parked, then I would look above that point, track the leak back to its origin and fix the leak. If the exhaust smells of coolant, then you need a real shop repair for a gasket or worse.
If the coolant is not circulating then I would check for a bad water pump or a blocked radiator. Lots of the L Saturns had leaking heater cores, a slippery wet passenger floor and stink was the indicator.

I have infiniti g35,2003 model but it have overheat problem what can i do?

-Make sure your thermostat is working properly, if not, replace it.
-Make sure your water pump is working properly, if not, replace it.
-Make sure you have enough coolant and that it is a good ratio of coolant to water mixture I use 50/50 mix of coolant and water.
-Check to see if your head is cracked or has a leak in the gaskets.
-Check your tail pipe to see if coolant is coming out of the back which will indicate a leak.
-Check the upper and lower radiator hoses for cracks and wear and tear and leaks.
-Replace your radiator cap

These are possibly problems and or solutions, but will better help you understand your overheating problem
