Possible causes - Faulty Electronic Load Detector Unit - Faulty Engine Control Module (ECM) - Electronic Load Detector Unit harness is open or shorted - Electronic Load Detector Unit circuit poor electrical connection
Possible symptoms - Engine Light ON (or Service Engine Soon Warning Light)
P1298 Honda Description The Electric Load Detector (ELD) measures the main current flow and sends that signal to the Engine Control Module (ECM) to command the alternator charging system to get fuel efficiency and decrease the drag of the engine when starting.

Code 1457 is Purge Solenoid Valve Low. Check your emission system for a leak

CODE P1298. ELD Circuit High Voltage.
Possible causes:
- 7.5 Amp fuse in under the dash fuse/ relay box.
- Repair open wire between 7.5 Amp fuse and ELD.
- Check for open wire between ECM/ PCM and ELD.
- Substitute a good-known ECM/ PCM and then recheck.

this code is sometimes set because of a loose gas cap or a leaking gas cap. the code is set when the fuel vapor management system detects a leak.

p1457 EVAP (Charcoal canister system) Vacume valve?

Interior lights do not turn on when door is opened. I checked the fuses and they appear good

My check engine light was on for a long time,after new sparkplugs and several trips to tuffy auto and almost $500 spent I gave up and brought it to a honda dealer-I HAD BAD FUEL INJECTORS - $700 spent everything ok now.no more annoying check engine lights!!!!
