Run a good fuel treatment through it with your next tank full of fuel and change the fuel filter. This time of year with fluctuating temps, condensation forms in fuel tanks (water) and will give same symptoms. Also make sure you use a good brand and grade of fuel. BMWs are REALLY sensitive to cheap fuel.
check the induction kit, where the big black rubber hoses pipes connect to air filter box and inlet fuel manifold ?? i cant remmber wat is called (sorry),if is spilt that the reason u will lose the power ,if u dont find anything spilt ,is could be possile spark plugs lead need replacing
