I have a 2006 Lexus RX400H....The plastic (black) trim on the driver side rear triangular window blew off on the freeway. It is a backwards "L" shaped piece. In order to get a replacement you have to buy the entire window! I have noticed several other Lexus SUV's with the same piece missing. I'm thinking it is a common problem that Lexus needs to take care of!

Hello. The rear fascia might have to come off to replace that lamp assembly. The wheel on whatever side that lamp assembly is broken and the inner splash shield has to be removed to remove and replace that assembly. Good luck and keep me informed; if you want to.

By 'nearside', do you mean the roll-up widow in the rear door, or the triangular "Quarterlight" pane in the rear side bodywork?
For the quarterlight, remove interior trim by levering and pulling firmly on trim, which is clipped into bodywork interior with plastic studs. Then unscrew now-exposed hex nuts which hold metal window frame to bodywork. push frame-bolts outwards then loosen silicone-stuck glass. Reverse the process to assemble.

Hi Mark Inner door panel please note I am doing this from memory.

(1) remove insert inner door grab handle from base( flat edge) and remove screw inside.
(2) remove small triangular trim at door mirror if fitted held in by white plastic trim clip. On removal turn gently to door window as it may be hooked around window channel. Is there a screw in the door panel behind there? remove if there is.
(3) remove lug and screw in door handle catch.
(4) remove row of screws along base of door and side of speaker.
(5) remove push down button for lock, top of door trim small rectangular plastic clip lever out with small flat head screw driver.
(6) remove also the button guide screw and guide.
(7) There may be a screw below that triangular trim? number(2)
(8) Have a general look around but I thing that's all the screws.
(9) Hand under base of panel and side (lock side) and gently reef of panel from door now other side.
(10) lift panel upward as it is hooked over top of door and remove slowly incase there is any wiring or cables attached.

(11) remove weather membrane carefully this has to be refitted if damaged you could end up with water leak into the car.
(12) Either tape up window or have a second person to hold it.
(13) there is two access holes in door panel to remove a 10mm bolt from window to regulator either side, use 1/4 drive socket.
(14) remove 3 bolts around motor and disconnect wiring to motor. there may be two bolts and a hook? there is then a bolt top and bottom of the regulator guide and out on the cable, remove all.
(15) the regulator comes come's out of the large hole at the bottom of the door panel. Refitting is the reverse of the above.

first take main battery cable out for one houre and return it back if there fine so its oke if not do below steps plz
set in car and close or glasses 1st- open ur window full auto and close it auto 2st-open passenger full auto down and full auto up 3st-open ur back window full auto down and then full auto up 4st-open rear window of passenger full auto down and full auto up
hope this will work if not tray same steps twice it will reprogrm

Does it still have a warranty on it? If so I would use that while you got it, and get it fixed free of charge. There is probably a cosmetic plastic cover hiding the alternator. However if you locate the belts than it will lead directly to the alternator.

Trying to get past the right way is a good way to get killed ( don't try to. )

Maintenance needed is always dependent on your car’s mileage and what service has been performed prior.

Your service manual will explain all that is needed at each maintenance interval.

Take a flashlight and look again under the dash.near where the plastic trim ends at knee level , drivers side I think on your car. If you have just had your tires changed or rotated your sensors themselves may need to be reprogrammed

Hey Guys, The problem is that the 12V battery is low or dead. Having the battery replaced will fix this issue. (I have the same vehicle, had the same problem, and this was the fix)
