MY 1998 b2500 runs good but after it gets hot or I go 20 or 30 miles it acts like it has a fuel problem maybe bad fuel or a cloged fuel filter. could this be the problem or could it be something else? Could the problem be in the transmission.becouse it shifts hard and pouses when I put it in drive.

General advice:After warming up track the problem:sparkplugs (even new can have the ceramic parts broken/cracked /wiring (after warming up the isolation get's soft, can loose spark power)/ignition coil(s) (gets hot, stop runnig),running reach, fuel pump/fuel pump relay.Best guess:fuel pump mallfunction (low pressure) related, fuel filter cloged/water in the fuel/fuel line cloged/chipped. Cheers, hope u figure it out,let the people know.
Intermittent problems like yours are the hardest to diagnose. But if it is getting more frequent, at least, may be easier to find. I would start with a fuel pressure check, eliminate as many possibilities as possible. New fuel filter? Maybe a sensor when warmed up is ...well, that would probably register a trouble code. Just fishing, here, but it just possibly could be an ignition problem when warmed up will start mis-behaving- like a bad coil, or ignition module. Good luck.
this is hard to say without being there, but check the fuel pump relay. it maybe bad and shutting off fuel pump when engine is hot. is fuel pump and fuel filter ok! check fuel filter also. good-day!!
It sounds like you may have a cloged fule filter, start with that and then check to see if your fuel pump had gone bad. Most likely it's your fuel filter if it's never been changed. The other common problems is a partial clog to the injectors but i don't think that is the problem here. Good luck
replace your MAP sensor(manifold absolute pressure) the map sensor is the computer for your fuel pressure regulator telling how much pressure. Unless your tahoe runs like **** going up hill than it inevitably your fuel pump
