I'm not a 100% but it sounds like your camshaft position sensor went bad then caused the other codes to come up because the camshaft position sensor tells the computer how much gas it needs. So it started a chain reaction with the fuel level sensor, fuel temperature sensor, and knock sensor codes. The Fuel temp. sensor helps the engine to know how much fuel to inject as well depending on the temp. of the fuel. The fuel pressure sensor senses the amount of fuel in the fuel rail by reading the internal pressure of the rail, so that's what leads me to believe that it's your camshaft position sensor. Particularly if that was the first code that came up. Hope this helps you.

change the crankshaft positon sensor in the rear of the engine above the oilfilter. Also check the wiring to this sensor, they have a problem shorting out. You have to change the camshaft and crankshaft sensors at the same time. Make sure you give your car a major tune up. Did you check yor starter?.........runjoe

I think it sounds like your CAM sensor has fallen off or is faulty.
The computer controls the ignition timing and the injectors to squirt fuel in to the pistons at the right time. If the computer doesn't sense the cam angle correctly as you accellerate it can't put fuel into the pistons to match the opening and closing of the valves.
If you have a manual you can strip down the top of the engine to see the timing gears on the end of the Cam shaft and see if you can see the cam sensor and if there is anything obviously wrong (i.e. its missing) but you may be as well getting to the dealer to have it checked out and fixed. So the good Fuel pressure will not really effect the engine falling on its face as its a computer timing issue caused by bad sensor information that's causing the bad running.

It's the valley of the engine underneath the intake manifold. It's about an $800 job because the top of the engine has to come off. However, unless you have a supercharged xterra it shouldn't effect performance. Also, the knock sensor will not trip the check engine light, as it does not indicate a primary problem, so if your light is on you should have another code that should be fixed first.

Start with the simple and replace the fuel filter. The fuel filter should be replaced every 15,000 miles or once a year to ensure the fuel system is running 100%. Auto Zone will have the fuel filter and can give you the step by step instructions to getting the job done with common tools. If it's the fuel pump failure, you have not gotten the car restarted. Good luck and keep me posted, be glad to know you got your car running 100% again soon and please rate.
