Re: trying to replace driver's side mirror for 200 land...
Easy. Black triange at the top front of the door. Pry away gently and you'll see 3x10mm bolts. Undo these, and the mirror will come loose. Unplug the multi-plug and remove. Job done. Oh, may be some foam packed in there too. Just pull it out and put to one side and replace after.

Remove the inside trim and undo the mounting screws. Suggest you do not try to adjust the internal parts of the mirror because it is inevitable to mirror will not want to go back into its designed position. Better to find a replacement unit

Most cars you don't have to remove the entire panel. the side mirror has it's own small panel. It is just clipped on. just pry it off to access the nut to remove the wing.
if you pull the door panel you should see some nuts or bolts holding the side view mirror on there should be two or three of them. remove said nuts or bolts and be sure to disconnect the wires going to the mirror so you can remove mirror.reverse the step when reinstalling mirror. hope this helps.
Unfortunately their is no way to properly but the mirror back into the base and have it working like it is designed too. I have replaced a few of the mirrors, and I have yet to see a company or parts store that even sells these mirrors. Whenever one of these mirrors breaks have of the battle is ordering the right one, the factory has soooooooo many different options weird colors i've never even heard of.
So i think u'll just have to pick it up at the dealership. If you find something aftermarket let me know, but i dont think their is anything out there.
Hi there! I think you poke a screwdriver into the slot in the bottom of the mirror housing and move it side to side. The mirror is probably held in a sort of cage in a bayonet type fitting. It's really clear when it's out but the first time can be awkward. Alan.
