Transmission Dipstick I need to know where my fill/check transmission dipstick is located at. I have a 05 Nissan Altima 2.5S 5 Spd Manual. The owners guide only shows the dipstick for an automatic vehicle. Where is the transmission dipstick located?

You have no dipstick in the manual trans. it's non-maintenance kinda system and its sealed.
unless it's leaking you don't need service.

Where is fill to add automatic trans fluid to 2008 BMW 650i under the hood?

The automatic transmission fluid fill location on a 2008 BMW 650i can vary depending on the specific model and transmission type, but generally it is located under the hood and accessed through a dipstick tube.

To locate the dipstick tube for the automatic transmission fluid, follow these steps:

1. Open the hood of the vehicle and locate the transmission fluid dipstick. The dipstick handle is usually yellow, red, or black and is labeled with "ATF" or "trans."
2. Remove the dipstick from the tube and wipe it clean with a lint-free cloth or paper towel.
3. Reinsert the dipstick all the way back into the tube and then remove it again. The fluid level on the dipstick should indicate the current level of transmission fluid.
4. If the fluid level is low, you will need to add automatic transmission fluid. To add fluid, remove the dipstick and use a funnel to pour the fluid into the dipstick tube. Be sure to use the correct type of transmission fluid specified in your owner's manual.
5. Check the fluid level again with the dipstick to make sure it is at the correct level. Add more fluid as needed.

Note: It is important to follow the recommended procedure for checking and adding transmission fluid to your BMW 650i to avoid overfilling the system, which can cause damage to the transmission. If you are unsure about the location of the dipstick or how to properly add fluid, consult your owner's manual or a qualified mechanic for assistance.

How many liters automatic transmission fluid require for my Nissan Sentra 2.0 2008?

Check your owner's manual. If you don't have one, fill the transmission box until the dipstick indicates the full level.
To check the fluid level, first locate the transmission dipstick in the engine compartment - it is the one that goes to the gearbox, not the engine - then select "P" in the shift lever, start the car and let it run for about 90 seconds. Now remove the dipstick, wipe it clean and replace it in the receptacle, and remove it again. The fluid should reach halfway up the clear spot just above the criss-cross pattern at the end of the dipstick.
If the box was totally empty to start off with, you will need four to five pints (four to five 500 ml bottles) of fluid. It is unlikely that the box would be completely empty.

How do I check transmission fluid level on 2008 Saturn Vue?

1. Switch off the car
2. Pop up the hood and raise it
3. Locate the transmission fluid cap
4. Remove the cap to add fluid
5. Check the owner's manual on what type of fluid your car requires and in what quantity. It is essential to use the right fluid and not anything off the shelf.
6. Remove the dipstick and start filling up the fluid slowly - you don't want to add too little or overfill.
7. Now put back the dipstick, switch on the vehicle and start shifting gears. Remove the dipstick and see the marking to know if you your car has the right amount of fluid
8. Put back the cap by turning it clockwise.

Where will i find the transmission oil and what type to add

Transmission fluid, readily available at any parts store or Walmart, is found in the transmission pan. Look in your owner's manual's index (which should be in the glove box) to find the dipstick location. Frequently, when you pull the dipstick to check fluid level, the type of fluid to use will be etched on the dipstick at the fill line. It should also be printed in the owners manual under Recommended fluids or fliud capacity. See index under transmission or fluids. What vehicle do you have?

How do you check transmission fluid

Make sure the engine has been at operating tempurature for at least 5 minutes. Open the hood and locate the TRANSMISSION dipstick, this one is different from the ENGINE OIL dipstick. It is usually bigger and located closer to the firewall in the engine compartment, if you have any doubts about finding it, look in your owners manual, it should tell you where it is. When you pull the correct dipstick you can tell becuase the fluid is RED and not BLACK or BROWN like engine oil. The car should be on a level surface and the engine should be idling in PARK to check the fluid correctly. Pull the dipstick, wipe it with a clean cloth and then re-insert it and pull it out again. There should be clear markings on the end of the dipstick to show where the level is. Again, check in your owners manual to see where normal levels are marked. If you don't have an owners manual, just look to see if the level is at least between two marks; an uppper and a lower. If no fluid shows on the stick, you are running low on fluid and could damage the transmission, have it filled immediately.
Hope this helps.

I can't find the well for the Automatic Transmission Fluid. I see the cap for engine oil, brake fluid and steering fluid but no transmission fluid. Please help!!!

You must locate the transmission dip stick. Look towards the rear near the firewall. It looks like the oil dipstick but larger. You fill up or add transmission fluid through the transmission dipstick hole.
Good luck and thanks for your question and I hope my suggestions help. burdfrenzy
