I had a mechanic replace the timing belt but the mechanic did not replace the water pump. it went out two weeks later. In the process it took the timing belt back out and bent some valves. I paid 400.00 for the first timing belt replacement, Now they want 700.00 to repair it. Is this a good deal? Or am I getting bent over on this???I had a mechanic replace the timing belt but the mechanic did not replace the water pump. it went out two weeks later. #1 are you sure it jumped time?#2 how do you know this? if in fact it has jumped time you will need to have the timing belt replaced.the average interval for replacement is 60,000-80,000.it is also a good idea to replace the water pump at the same time as it is driven by the timing belt.

Fuel, spark, air is the fire triangle... You're unfortunately missing one of those... Try simply waiting for a long time an hour or so and jump starting the car if necessary.... my guess is that you may have flooded the engine with repeated failed attempts to start the engine. That means there is too much gas and the plugs can't spark because they're too wet with fuel...
First key on you should hear pump run a couple seconds if you think it's the pump have someone crank it over and another pound on the fuel tank this sometimes makes the pump motor start to run, if it does that may be enough for you to drive to a shop for a new fuel pump.
yup it does, but what happened to m last summer was that my key got demagnetized, dummie up,made stupid, and the exploder did not start? soi reprogrammed the key! alls is well! ifu have dun everything elks, go to the nbook and find the reprogrammie for the key fob/key and see tuathappens. TAKE ALL THE junk OFF THE KEY RING! leave just the key/ n the fob. l.o.l.
what is the other posible reason a 99 plymouth breeze wont start it rolls over well i change the crank sensor, camshft sensor, ignation coil but won't start
it depends what their door rate is to do the job and they can charge what they can as far as parts are concerned.you don`t say if its a dohc or a sohc(dual or single cam motor).roughly it would take about 3.5-5 hours to change the timing belt and about .4-.7 to change the water pump.call around and compare prices as this doesn`t have to be done at a dealer.
For the 1999 Plymouth Breeze 2.0L SFI
SOHC 4cyl the Fuel Filter is located under vehicle, passenger side, below seating area,
near fuel tank, mounted on frame rail in fuel line.
