Fuel not getting to carborator.

My 1988 dodge pickup is not moving fuel into the carborator, is there an inline fuel filter of is it in the gas tank? The engine will turn over if you put starter fluid in the carborator but will not stay running.

The filter is external. Located on the passenger side frame rail, about 4-5 ft from the tank. round, metal (or if previously replaced-- might be plastic). Are you sure you have a carb? 1988 models were throttle body type fuel injection. If it is TBI, you may not be getting power to the internal fuel pump. Are you seeing a fault code (the check engine light flashing)?

I have a 1985 toyota pickup, 2wd, carborated, I cannot find the fuel filter, where is it located?

The stock fuel filter is located just in front of the rear tire on the passenger side of the truck. It may have a cover over it. Make sure your tank is almost empty before removing the old filter otherwise it can get messy with gas all over the place.

Where is, my fuel filter located on my 1988 toyota supra, 3.0 inline 6cyl turbo

Your fuel filter is located underneath the vehicle on the drivers side, below the seating area mounted on the frame rail in the fuel line near the gas tank. I hope this helps and good luck.

When my 1988 dodge ram charger 150 is low on gas it dies when I make a right hand turn only is that common and howdo I fix it?

It sounds like the fuel pickup inside the fuel tank may have come loose or something. There is a sock or pickup "foot" that is what lies on the bottom of the tank to draw fuel from, if it comes loose then the pickup tube (kind of like a big straw" ends slightly before the bottom of the tank and when you turn you make the fuel slosh to the other side of the tank, it sucks air and the fuel presure drops below the normal threshhold and the engine dies.

Repair requires the removal of the fuel pickup module from the fuel tank and either replacing the module or the sock (sometimes called a foot)

How to change a fuel filter on a 2002 dodge ram 1500 4.7

This is the year that dodge decided to put the fuel filter in the gas tank instead of inline on the railing. Just either empty the gas tank or make sure that there is hardly and left in it considering it will be heavy. Pull the necessary lines off top of tank and hoses and than take the nuts that hold your straps on the tank off. Remove tank and pull fuel filter.

I have a 2005 Dodge Ram hemi 1500 4x4. would not start.

I suspect the gas tank has some crud on the bottom that gets sucked in when level is very low and/or truck is parked on an incline.Suggest installing in-line fuel filter, let gas level get nearly empty and then check in-line filter. If there's junk in the filter, tank needs to be cleaned. Or just keep the tank a quarter full until it can be cleaned.

Replacing fuel filter

Unfortunatly most dakotas have an inline fuel filter, its located in the gas tank because there not supposed to need regular maintenance or changing. Basically you have to drop your gas tank to get the fuel filter out.

Starting trouble after i let it run out of gas

Sediment from the bottom of the tank could be blocking your fuel filter. Replace your fuel filter.
