Cranking noise when i turn my car

Everytime i turn my car it makes a cranking noise like it has difficulty turning on but it turns on. they told me its the head gazgets, or the starter or the fuel pump. also everytime the car is driving and i press the breaks my car shakes.

Kick your wheel up each side, check if is it shaking...
Time to change the wheelbearing, u can do it ...4-5 hours....if the wheel bearing is melted into the rod !
Driving...may loose up your wheel and no brake ?!

Brakes: The rotors are probably warped.
Engine starting: Hard to diagnose from your description, but can be a host of things from electrical to what you have mentioned above.

Sounds like u need to see the dealer on the start problem, to many possibilities, if I had to guess I would say engine problems, the brake issue is warped brake rotors, they need to be taken off and replaced or turned true on a brake rotor lathe.

Several thoughts, did you stop at a light or did it die while driving? Make sure that the battery cables are tight and clean. The positive cable are two cables tightened by one bolt. Make sure that connection is good.

Hi, you just simply need to remove the starter and observe the fly wheel if the teeth are fine, if yes upen the starter and change the Bendix if the teeth of the Bendix are still good. An the Bendix is the part that meet with flywheel to turn the engine .

Cranking noise in back of Rav 4

If you hear the noise from middle or back, it might be a binding drive shaft for the 4x4 system that's making the noise. It's really hard pin point the problem area without verifying the vehicle. But the only things in the center\back of the vehicle that would make a noise in that speed range would be drive shaft and\or differential. Check the exhaust system well. There's a very big muffler on this model rav4 which's common to rust and make all kinds of noise. Usually it goes bad at the edges where it's welded. Check them as well.

Noise when turning either direction

When you changed the struts,did you put in complete assemblies with new springs and top bearings?It is usually the top bearings that make noise when turning.Next is worn outer CV joints on the axles.

The power steering fluid level is low or the v-belt tension needs adjusting.Its not likely to be the aircon comp.Look at the v-belt.Adjust if needed and also see its not cracked or too shiny that would allow slipping.If in doubt,replace it.It will be the problem.Hope this helps

The crank sensor has nothing to do with the car not turning over. Sounds like you have a bad connection at the starter, or the starter itself. That is if it just clicks when you go to start it. Now if it turns over, and won't fire, you may have a sensor issue.

Squealing and turning off

check to see if the power steering pump is binding do you have the defroster on when this happens? if so it maybe the a/c compressor turn the defroster off and try to start it .
