Radio works just fine tapes cds all play but periodically while driving the radios lights and screen will shut itself off. The sound will continue but you cant see what station you or on or anything on the screen. Then for no reason at all the screen will turn back on. This is a stock radio and it doesn't seem to have a reason it does it, it just shuts it's self off and there is no time limit for how long sometimes a few seconds, minutes hours or sometimes longer. Please help I have checked the fuses and woulld like some idea of what i can do short of replacing it to fix the problem.

unfortunately, there are about 60 to 80 codes. You'll need to contact the dealer and ask then a list of these code. Alternatively, you can try manually by trying all combination (111, then 112 then 113, etc...) Once you have the right code, keep it. It is specific to your car and you may need it again

haha thats a wiring problem. could even be a fuse not being pushed in all the way. i would check the remote start wire and the battery wire and also the ground wire where its plugged in the back of the radio

I dont have the solution but that is happening to me right now. I replaced the battery and had the alternator tested and is working fine. I have a friend who is friends with a mechanic. He said that on foreign cars that when the battery goes dead and is replaced with another that the idle on the vehicle has to reset and in order to do that you would have to run it for a day or two so it can fix itself.

Search to see if your fuses are all good. Radios should be on their own circuit, but sometimes they are piggy-backed on another circuit, so check them all. Decent fuse testers can be bought for under $5 so you don't even have to pull your fuses, just touch them with the tester (it's a continuity test).
