First, I'd start with a thorough tune up. Also, check the pressure on the fuel pump , and change the fuel filter, Air filter, spark plugs, wires, etc. Check all your fuel lines for leaks.
in my 92 yota pick up the fuel filter is on the right side of the motor towards the bottom..(thats if your at the front of the vehicle).. for me my truck is lifted so i had to change everything from beneath the truck!
well ive never heard of a reset for a fuel pump but if you put your ear to the gas tank and have someone turn the key on (not start) and see if you hear a buzzing sound if you dont then the pump is bad.
I would change fuel filter any way only £6 delivered on ebay then i would start looking at glow plugs and relays first check to make sure glow plugs are getting a live feed bad side glow plugs are located under drivers seat side of engine so not easy to get at unless you remove seat carpet and engine covers
