Re: TRUNK WONT OPEN WITH TRUNK RELEASE BUTTON ON DASH OR...
Check for broken wires running from the body to the trunk lid through the rubber boot. When the trunk is closing you can see the kink in the rubber boot. There are 11 wires to supply 1 solenoid so I think Chrysler knew there was problem.
How do you get into the trunk when the trunk release button on the dash isn't working?
I also have a 2006 Chrysler 300 that the trunk release will not work on. It will not work with the dash button or the remote/key. There is no key opening option on the trunk itself. To get in the trunk I have to fold down the back seat and crawl in to release with the emergency handle. I can't find the fuse number in the owner's manual. The dealer has no idea (by initial phone request anyway).
Is there anything else that is not working. Have you checked the fuses. Have you looked to insure that the wire to the trunk latch is pluged in and has a good connection.
My release works but I cannot get the latch to engage when I close it.
