2003 dodge neon oil light comes on at stop lights then turns off

The oil pump slows down or speeds up with engine rpms. If your concerned about oil pressure, hopefully, you could use an analog pressure gage in place of the oil pressure sending unit to double check oil pressure.

Oil light coming on just started seems to come on more often had oil checked and changed when light started to come on

Could be your oil pressure sending unit. when you unplug it and have oil in the plug that is a good sign it is the sending unit.

My 98 Neon stopped running in the middle of the street. Now it will not start, although it cranks. I changed out he ignition module or coil assembly, mut no luck

Replace the Vehicle speed sensor. It gets coated with oil leaking from the oil pressure switch and will fail. I've done this 3 times until I got smart and replaced the oil pressure switch. Make sure you get a good seal on the OP switch. Good Luck, it's easy to DIY

How do I turn off the oil light indicator for a 2002 dodge neon

You need to find out why the low oil pressure light is on. Either you are low of oil, the oil pump is not working properly, or the oil pressure sending unit is defective. Fix the problem and the light will go out. Do NOT start this engine until you find the cause of this. Low oil pressure will destroy this engine.

Need to replace oil pressure sensor/or sending unit(getting low oil pressure idiot light when idleing in drive) 1997 dodge neon dhc 2.0L. I have a new one but cant seem to find where it is located on the...

In my experience with neon's the sending unit is most likely not the problem. I feel that you will find that the oil pressure is actually low and that the oil pump is going out. If you change the sending unit and it doesn't change then you will know for sure. The sending unit is located on the side of the block near the oil filter. It has one wire and simply unscrews and the new one screws back in and re-attach the wire. Hope this helps. Good luck.

Mi dodge neon oil light goes on and off. i checked the oil and is on the right level. could it be the oil pump? or the oil filter if is there any?

IT CAN BE ANY OF THE ABOVE AND ALSO A DEFECTUVE OIL PRESSURE SENDER ON THE ENGINE, HAVE THE OIL PRESS TESTED WITH A MECHANICAL TEST GAUGE BY A SHOP, IF IT IS OK REPLACE THE SENDER FOR THE OIL PRESS LIGHT.
