SOURCE: BMW 328i touring tailgate not opening

Have had this problem. Solve it by reading the owner's handbook, which gives clear instructions. Do not use the key in the tailgate door before reading the instructions.

How do I repair or replace a fuel door release on a 1998 BMW 328i?

You would need to decide what is wrong with the door in the first place - mechanical or electrical fault.

Could need new central lock module, fuel door button, fuel door motor, door could be siezed/jammed, etc, etc.....

Remote key does not open the door for 2007 328i BMW

I suggest you to check fuse # 57 15Amp at juction box, you can access it from glove box. if the fuse is blown, replace it with 20A and try to operates lock/unlock 10X and replce door lock fails to responce during the operation. dont operate lock/unlock 15X the system will stop and you have to wait for few min to function it again.

BMW 1996 328i E36 cnvertible Driver side window will not go down and back up when door is opened and then closed? It did this once before but started working but now it has started again.

micro switch may have failed. have a very close look in the door latch fixed to the car...there should be a very small square pressable switch.. open the door and press your finger inside the latch against the little button, the window should drop and raise. If you dont have one there its on the inside of the door lock mechanism.

Ok i have a question. I have a 05' Cobalt LS and sometimes its like the door locks get jammed or something. Sometimes the unlock button wont fully unlock it the unlock thing will pop up but door wont open!...

sounds like you need to replaced the latch in the door. or like my 06 cobalt lt the door was bouncing and not closing all the way, or not opening. they cleaned my latch and i havent had a problem since, but that latch in the door could be your problem.

Doors on 2007 BMW 328i will not unlock

hey solo, 06-07 door lock actuators can blow a fuse in the glove box. bmw does have a specific bulletin that addresses this issue and requires replacing the fuse if blown and measure the resistance of all the door lock actuators to determine which is bad. the doors should be able to be opened with the key mechanically. if not for some reason, you should be able to comfort open the windows and will have to crawl inside the car. the fuse panel is inside the glove box and not fun to get to. I believe the fuse is a 10 or 15 amp fuse maybe 5th from the bottem right.
